BRIEF
1) Advise on website platform migration to support social and community activity. 2) Develop a social media roadmap.
APPROACH
Balancing all the pertinent needs and constraints, Drupal was recommended as the platform of choice. The combination of out-of-the-box community features and wide support network meant this solution offered the most flexible and affordable solution.
A social media 'blueprint' was created that took its lead from Dying Matters' business objectives and encouraged a 'do-measure-learn' approach as well as identifying key channels and content to exploit.
RESULTS
The dyingmatters.org community section was delivered using Drupal, integrating with the legacy site and paving the way to full migration and future community development.
The 3 month social media target was achieved, acting as a proof of concept and justifying future budget for further activity. The 'blueprint' developed for the test stage will continue to add value as activity increases.
